Serpenti Baia Shoulder Bag

The Serpenti Baia takes Bvlgari’s snakehead motif and gives it something none of the other bags in this collection have: a cool, silver-toned palladium finish. While the house defaults to warm gold across most of its Serpenti line, this Flash Diamond White edition commits fully to an icy palette — palladium-plated brass forms the sculpted serpent head, its scales enameled in black and flash diamond white, its malachite eyes providing the only colour against the monochrome exterior. The effect is sharper, more modern, a deliberate departure from the Roman warmth of yellow gold. Palladium is rarer than gold, harder than platinum, and Bvlgari deploys it sparingly — which makes its appearance here a signal.

The Metropolitan calf leather carries a subtle crystalline shimmer — the flash diamond treatment that catches and scatters light without crossing into glitter. At 27.5 x 18 x 4.5 cm, the Baia is the widest bag in the Bvlgari lineup here, slim in profile but generous across, with a dual closure system: the signature snakehead magnetic flap plus a secondary zipped top that runs the length of the opening. Inside, a single compartment lined in emerald green nappa leather holds one flat open pocket.

The strap design is the Baia’s most flexible element. Two thick, detachable snake-body chains can be worn together as a doubled shoulder strap, or one can be removed for a single-chain crossbody. An additional extension chain section adjusts the drop further — shoulder, underarm, or crossbody, no tools required.
