How bag measurements work
Product dimensions are presented as width × height × depth when available. Handle drop and strap drop are separate measurements and determine where the piece may sit when carried.
- Width
- The horizontal measurement across the main body of the bag.
- Height
- The vertical measurement from the base to the top of the main body, excluding handles unless stated otherwise.
- Depth
- The measurement from front to back at the base or widest structured point.
- Handle or strap drop
- The vertical distance between the top of the bag and the inside centre of the handle or strap.
Carry position
Check where the bag will sit
Start with how you plan to carry the bag: by hand, on the shoulder or across the body.
Close to the body
Use strap drop and depth to judge how closely the bag may sit.
Carried by hand
Check handle shape, overall width and the weight of what you usually carry.
What you carry
Exterior dimensions show scale, not usable capacity. If a phone, tablet or laptop must fit, include its dimensions when asking a private advisor.
At-home comparison
Check the scale at home
A tape measure can give you a clearer sense of scale than the product photo alone.

Mark the listed width and height on paper. If you have a similar bag, place it beside the outline for comparison.

Hold a ruler or tape measure out from your side to picture the listed depth.

Send the style, the listed dimensions and how you plan to carry it. If a particular item must fit, include its dimensions too.
