Jonathan Anderson mined the Dior archives for the Dioramour capsule and surfaced something unexpected: a 1950s pattern of doves and roses originally drafted for a scarf that never entered production. The motif remained in the House library for decades, dormant, until it became the centerpiece of a collection about global expressions of love. On the Dioramour My Dior Mini Bag, it covers white Cannage lambskin in multicolor thread that refuses to fade into the background.

Doves and roses alternate across the surface — birds in flight, flowers in bloom, both rendered in an illustrative style that lands as archival instead of contemporary. The contrast with the bag’s modern mini silhouette (21 x 11.5 cm) creates the tension that defines the capsule: old imagery, new format. Silver-tone D.I.O.R. charms on the flap and a leather bow add restrained hardware to an otherwise embroidered front.

The chain strap carries the theme forward. Instead of standard links, it uses bow-shaped links — a literal interpretation of the ribbon motif that appears throughout the Dioramour collection. White lambskin with multicolor embroidery, silver hardware, and a chain that repeats the bow form: nothing on this bag is generic.

Inside, compartments and card slots organize the essentials. The white base keeps the embroidery legible, and the silver tone prevents color competition with the multicolor thread.
