The Macrocannage topstitching is executed here in calfskin instead of canvas, which changes the tactile experience: the leather has a density that the embroidered version lacks, and the diamond quilting sits in relief rather than lying flat. Pale gold-toned D.I.O.R. charms dangle from one of the top handles, spelling out the house name letter by letter in polished metal. An adjustable, removable strap has been added for this miniature iteration — the original Book Tote had none — allowing it to convert from hand carry to crossbody.
