This is a tiny trunk. That’s the simplest description, and it’s also the most accurate. The Minaudière is 17 x 5.5 x 11.5 cm — smaller than a paperback — and it’s shaped like the luggage Goyard has been making since the company existed: rectangular, compact, with metal corners and a clasp at the center. The leather strap is embossed with a pattern that echoes the canvas body, so the visual rhythm continues from your shoulder down to the bag. Remove the strap and it’s a clutch. Attach it and it goes crossbody or over the shoulder. Inside: phone, cards, keys, lip product. The black body is textured canvas, the corners are metal, the clasp is polished. Everything about this bag is miniature except the presence it has when you carry it.
