Saïgon

The wood corners on this bag are wrapped in leather and pinned with metal rivets — exactly the way luggage corners have been made for over a century. On the Saïgon Souple Mini, they’re applied to a compact 20 x 7.5 x 15 cm body in gray textured canvas, and they do two things: protect the base angles and identify the bag as something made with construction techniques borrowed from trunks. The body is flexible — souple means soft — so the bag molds to your side when worn crossbody. The strap is removable: crossbody when attached, hand-carry when detached. The metal clasp sits at the center front. Inside: phone, cards, keys, lipstick. This is the quietest Saïgon — gray canvas, silver hardware, wood corners doing the only talking that matters.
