The Malle de Jour is the trunk, shrunk to handbag size: metal corners, a rigid frame and Monogram canvas that quotes the hard-sided cases Louis Vuitton built from 1858 onward. It is the most literal piece of the Maison’s archive in the lineup.
15 × 23.9 × 7.9 cm, it opens with a leather-lined interior sized for phone, wallet and keys, with a removable, adjustable strap for shoulder carry.
The trunk details — studs, corners, trim — are not decoration; they are the design, set in gold-toned hardware against the brown Monogram canvas.
